What This Tool Does
Author Launch OS helps manage book launch planning, social posting workflows, advertising review, and launch performance reporting.
When connected to Amazon services, the tool may use Login with Amazon to authorize access to Amazon Ads reporting features. This access is used to help display advertising and campaign performance metrics for books and related campaigns.
Information We May Access
Depending on which features are authorized, Author Launch OS may access or store:
- Amazon Ads account or profile identifiers.
- Campaign, ad group, keyword, targeting, spend, click, impression, and sales-attribution reporting data.
- Amazon Attribution reporting data where available.
- Book launch metrics manually entered by the user.
- Locally imported report files, such as KDP, Amazon Ads, or Amazon Attribution exports.
- Local configuration details needed to operate the tool.
Author Launch OS does not collect your Amazon password. Login credentials are handled by Amazon through Login with Amazon.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- Display launch and advertising performance.
- Help reconcile book sales, ad spend, clicks, and attributed conversions.
- Support local reporting, planning, and optimization decisions.
- Maintain approval-gated workflows for posting, scheduling, and paid advertising decisions.
We do not sell personal information or advertising data.
Storage And Security
Author Launch OS is designed as a local-first tool. Credentials and API secrets should be stored locally on the user's machine, for example in a local environment file or secure credential store.
Advertising and launch data may be stored locally in project files so the user can review campaign progress over time.
Users are responsible for protecting access to their local machine, project files, and credential storage.
Sharing
We do not share Amazon Ads data, imported reports, or launch metrics with third parties except where the user deliberately connects, exports, uploads, or submits that information to another service.
Amazon may receive API requests as necessary to provide authorized Amazon Ads or Login with Amazon functionality.
Data Retention
Local project data remains on the user's machine until the user deletes it.
Users can remove local credentials, delete imported reports, or revoke Login with Amazon or API authorization through their Amazon account or Amazon Developer settings.
Children's Privacy
Author Launch OS is not intended for use by children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
